VIKRAM KAPUR

Vikram joined the business after completing his MBA from the University of Pittsburg, USA. Prior to his MBA, he graduated in commerce and economics from Sydenham College, Mumbai. He completed high school at the prestigious Cathedral and John Connan School, Mumbai. Having had the privilege of having worked under the aegis of our founder, Mr. Inderjit Kapur, Vikram rose through the ranks to his current position as Director. Management Team

AJAY KAPUR

Ajay joined the business in 1985, where he was mentored directly by his father, Mr. Inderjeet Kapur. Given his interest in the technical aspects of the business, Ajay was instrumental in installing the most efficient technology at each stage. In collaboration with our Japanese partners, Ajay set up a Carding Department in the factory to mechanically clean cotton. Working his way through each department, he upgraded machinery and imported technology. In 2004, to assist Mr. Inderjeet Kapur in setting up the first non-woven cotton plant using 100% cotton in the country, Ajay traveled overseas to select and procure the appropriate machinery for it.

Chetan Kapur

Taking over the reins of a successful 45+ year old, third generation family business are big boots to fill. Being a third-generation entrepreneur meant that Chetan had to build on the legacy of industry stalwarts – his father and grandfather before him and build on their success by constant innovation. Today, Chetan steers Lavino Kapur to proudly boast of being market leaders in the industry in terms of both cutting-edge technology and being sustainable and 100% biodegradable, which has been a challenge facing most other industry players. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in management from Jai Hind College, getting a master’s degree in finance and investment from university of Nottingham, paved the way for out of the box thinking. A specialization from Cotton Institute at the University of Memphis meant that it was time to put all that knowledge into practice. In the 13 years of working in the family business, Chetan has brought in further efficiencies in the process and worked extensively in the areas of new product design and sustainable packaging solutions, giving a direction and purpose aligned to the Lavino Kapur ethos.
